The enterprise competence framework

The SimBiz game was developed following research in 5 countries into current literature on enterprise skills as well as extensive fieldwork with employees & entrepreneurs.

The key enterprise skills most highly valued were identified & provide the basis for the Competence Framework.

This Framework very clearly presents the most desirable learning outcomes for an enterprising employee or potential entrepreneur.

On a vertical axis you can read off the key enterprise skills. On a horizontal axis the learner’s steps of competence development are displayed.

This matrix structure, which describes competences in terms of learning outcomes, allows a learning provider to design a training plan based or mapped on the Framework.

A Course Profile can also be tailored to meet the different national systems throughout Europe and accommodate the different delivery arrangements in particular training institutions. The Framework can also be used to produce an Individual Profile for each learner.

Information about how a Competence Framework can be used to enhance the performance of vocational training programmes can be found at: www.vocationalqualification.net.
